About

This blog is about our journey to freedom. Not freedom in the traditional sense, but about total freedom. This freedom is called मोक्ष [Moksha] in Hindu culture. What it means is liberation of a जीव; [Being/Life] from the endless cycles of Happiness/Sorrow that cause suffering. It is meant for साधक; Sadhakas; people who are in the search for truth. People who are in the search for freedom.

As we will learn, this is about understanding the truth about who we are, fundamentally. It is the journey towards understanding, and finally realizing this truth. On the way, we will progressively learn more about ourselves, moving “inwards”, towards the truth about our existence, our relation to the universe and our purpose in life.

You will notice that I will use many sanskrit terms as and when needed. This in the interest of trying to be as accurate as possible, because there are some concepts that do not have an equivalent expression in the English language. It is also because there is a deep connection and dependance about what I write, on the Vedantic documents. Mostly, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Brahma Sutras.

Finally, please feel free to comment. Please feel free to ask questions. Feel free to contact me if you have suggestions or concerns. Most of all, absorb, contemplate, assimilate and realize. Be free!
